COMMODITY TRADING

Oriental Energy developed the commodity trading for CPO (Crude Palm Oil) and CPKO (Crude Palm Kernel Oil).

CRUDE PALM OIL

Palm oil is edible oil which is extracted from the pulp of fruit of oil palms. The color of pulp is red. That's why crude palm oil is naturally similar to pulp color because of high inactive vitamin A content. It is different from kernel oil or coconut oil. Commonly it is combined or mixed with coconut oil to make highly saturated vegetable fat, which is also used for cooking purposes.

Main usage of CPO is for cooking purposes and is largely used in South-East Asia, West Africa and some parts of Brazil. Commercial kitchens use it due to its low cost. It's not healthy as its counterparts due to high content of saturated fats. Largest producer of CPO is Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria and Columbia. They are major exporters of palm oil. India is net importer of Crude Palm Oil and Mumbai being one of the major trading centers. It is also used for making bio diesel and one of it's by product is Glycerin.

CRUDE PALM KERNEL OIL

Palm kernel oil is an edible plant oil derived from the kernel of the oil palm Elaeis guineensis. It should not be confused with the other two edible oils derived from palm fruits: palm oil, extracted from the pulp of the oil palm fruit, and coconut oil, extracted from the kernel of the coconut.

Palm kernel oil, palm oil, and coconut oil are three of the few highly saturated vegetable fats; these oils give the name to the 16-carbon saturated fatty acid palmitic acid that they contain.

Palm kernel oil, which is semi-solid at room temperature, is more saturated than palm oil and comparable to coconut oil. It is commonly used in commercial cooking because of its relatively low cost, and because it remains stable at high cooking temperatures and can be stored longer than other vegetable oils.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

Oriental Energy develops renewable energy for wind power, solar power and hydropower in Southeast Asia.

WIND POWER

Wind power or wind energy is the use of wind to provide the mechanical power through wind turbines to turn electric generators and traditionally to do other work, like milling or pumping. Wind power is a sustainable and renewable energy, and has a much smaller impact on the environment compared to burning fossil fuels.

SOLAR POWER

The government of Indonesia had announced a renewable energy target of 23% to reach by 2025. Solar Power is the one of most required energy facilities in Indonesia. Oriental Energy do focus to develop in Indonesia.

HYDROPOWER

Hydropower or hydroelectricity refers to the conversion of energy from flowing water into electricity. It is considered a renewable energy source because the water cycle is constantly renewed by the sun.

Indonesia’s technical hydropower potential is estimated at around 75,000 MW, with untapped resources concentrated on the islands of Sumatra, Java and Sulawesi. It is estimated that there is currently about 8 GW of economically viable undeveloped hydropower potential, which would provide almost 33 TWh of electricity per year.
